August 28, 2025 – SGD Pharma and Alphial join forces for the future of pharma.
Alphial S.r.l. and its shareholders, Entangled Capital and Capital Dynamics, are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement for the acquisition of Alphial by SGD Pharma, a French group and global leader in primary pharmaceutical glass packaging.
Over the years, our company has brought together under one industrial entity several historic Italian centers of excellence, specializing in the conversion of tubular glass into ampoules, vials, and Ready To Use (RTU) products. This has enabled Alphial to become the largest European manufacturer of glass ampoules and vials for pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.
This leading position is perfectly aligned with SGD Pharma’s long-term strategy to strengthen its global leadership in tubular glass. Alphial will in fact become an important European hub for tubular glass converting within the Group.
The acquisition represents a significant step forward for both companies: for the French Group, which will consolidate its European presence and reinforce its tubular glass converting and manufacturing capabilities; and for Alphial, which by joining SGD Pharma will benefit from renewed momentum in innovation and in the enhancement of its products and processes.

The integration process will begin upon completion of the transaction, subject to the Italian FDI clearance. Throughout this process, we remain fully committed to ensuring business continuity, maintaining all existing agreements and trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
